In the meantime, we can still process orders via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can still proceed through the checkout and attempt to make your payment with your credit card. To do this, select PayPal as your payment choice and when it takes you to the PayPal login screen, there is a small link on the page under where it says, "Don't have a PayPal account?". You can attempt to make your payment, however it may reject your card with little or no explanation (simply says something like, "this card can not be used for this payment"). This happens if your card has been used in the past for several PayPal payments without an account, or if it was ever associated with a PayPal account in the past. If you have any troubles with the payment process, please contact us for assistance. You may also pay by check or money order of course. Stock Update: You probably will notice that we have many empty categories and/or out of stock products listed on the site. SmartieParts was one of the first smart car parts stores in North America and started back in 2005 when the earlier generation was in Canada only. At that time, we were acting as a distributor for a single European supplier. In 2008, three important things happened: #1) The new generation smart came to North America; #2) we lost faith in our European supplier after many unresolved quality control and warranty issues; and #3) we purchased the rights to the Area 451 Parts Cruise Control. So for some time now, we've really been focusing on that cruise control since we have direct control over its production and can best serve our customers needs. All parts on this site that are not related to the cruise control are really remnants of times gone by for SmartieParts, and when they're gone that will be it. If something is shown as out of stock, we probably won't be ordering more. If you're looking for something in particular though, as always you can contact me and I'll do my best to point you in the right direction. |
